ROOT CANAL THERAPY

When an infection or decay has reached the nerve of your tooth, the best course of action may be a root canal. Root canal therapy, also known as endodontic treatment, is a procedure that is used to recover infected and decayed teeth. This involves the extraction of the infected pulp, followed by a thorough cleaning and shaping of the root canal, and ultimately, filling and sealing it (most often with a dental crown) to prevent any reoccurence of infection. This type of procedure has provided pain relief to many patients.

WISDOM TEETH REMOVAL

Wisdom teeth are the third set of adult molars found at the back of your mouth. They are typically the final set of teeth to emerge, and often become impacted as there is not enough space in your mouth. This causes several problems such as, misalignment, tooth damage, infection, pain and discomfort. Due to the position of the wisdom teeth in the mouth, they most often become infected. To prevent further infection, Dr. Koo may recommend wisdom teeth removal.

Wisdom teeth removal is an oral surgery in which involves the extraction of the third set of adult molars. This procedure is typically performed with anesthesia and can be completed in one visit. Following this procedure, post-op instructions are given which includes taking prescribed painkillers and avoiding hard or crunchy food. In order to avoid complications, it is recommended that patients must follow all instructions to continue proper healing.

Dr. Koo and his team works closely with other dental health professionals to provide the best wisdom teeth removal treatment.

Music Break

RELIEVING ANXIETY?

Do the words "dental appointment" cause butterflies in your stomach? We have several techniques that may help you relax. Before starting the dental procedure, you may ask Dr. Koo for nitrous oxide, a.k.a. "laughing gas". With laughing gas, you are still able to see, hear and respond to questions. It is a safe method to help you stay calm and comfortable.

For others, the sound of the dental instruments can make them tense. We recommend putting on a pair of headphones to listen to your favourite tunes on your phone. We are committed to provide the most safest procedure for our patients. We will always prioritize your health and safety!
